Infrared Inspections

Performed on Residential, Commercial, Multi Family units

Building Diagnostics

Commercial property, multi family building or residential property sometimes experience ongoing water leaks, have moisture stains on interior walls. We can perform complete building diagnostics surveys, building envelope inspections, moisture intrusion or water leak investigations, all using non-invasive inspection techniques to find the source and reduce repair costs.

Repeat moisture intrusion destroys structural integrity and creates huge, expensive problems like mold and mildew which can cause serious health concerns. Often, these problems are not obvious until it’s too late. Discovering them early through infrared technology can save money and increase your building’s lifespan dramatically. A trained Thermographer using a thermal camera, moisture meter, and building science will document and investigate those conditions. An infrared camera can detect anomalies, suspect wet or trapped moisture. A professional narrative report complete with thermal and digital images with a summary and recommendations will be provided.

Are you experiencing any of the following in your home, office or building?

  • Do you have a water leaks from plumbing or water intrusion from the exterior of a building or your home?
  • Maybe stains at that skylight that you had installed or around the ceiling at the fireplace?
  • Do you have a leak that your contractor has tried to fix but it’s still keeps returning?
  • Do you smell a musty or damp odor you suspect is moisture leak but cannot see any stains?
  • A leak that is covered by insulation or sheeting, and can’t find the source?

How can Infrared Thermography can help you:

The big advantage of infrared Thermography is that it’s non-destructive, unobtrusive and non-contact. Results are instant and the thermal images are easy to understand. You don’t need contractors in your home tearing down sections of walls hunting for damage. Under most conditions, infrared can find anomalies in large and inaccessible areas.

Slab foundations: Considering purchasing a home with a slab foundation. Slab homes are very susceptible to moisture damage, wet walls that are not visible using normal inspections methods. Infrared thermography can be used to scan and find issues that will be a major expense later.

Thermal imaging is also a great way to document evidence for your insurance claim. With today’s infrared technology they can be completed in a fraction of the time, we can often make an immediate assessment.
